The winners of the Evil Editor: The Cartoons DVD are:
  • Sylvia
  • McKoala
Please see Evil Editor for your prizes.

More Chances For YOU to Win:

For the rest of you, whoever can come up with the funniest caption for the two cartoons inspired by Sylvia and McKoala will win your choice of the DVD or a copy of Novel Deviations, Vol 1.

The person who comes up with the chosen caption for the other cartoon will receive the prize not chosen.

See the winning cartoons here and leave your caption entry in the comments!

Double Launch Party!

Extinct Doesn't Mean Forever AND Evil Editor Teaches School

Two books that start with "E" -- how cool is that?

Thanks for dropping by! We have several contests for you and lots of prizes, so settle in.

CONTESTS: Click on the Contests links in the sidebar or scroll down to find out how you can win one of three (yes, 3!) copies of the Extinct anthology, one of three (yes, 3!) copies of  the Evil Editor Cartoon DVD, one copy (yes, 1!) of Novel Deviations from Evil Editor Publications, and other prizes from friends of the books.

GAMES: Check out the puzzle links in the side bar. Don't let the "easy" and "medium difficulty" tags fool you. These babies are challenging -- set aside several minutes to play!

COMMENTS: Are open. Mingle! Ask questions! Introduce yourselves! Tell us what you're working on! The authors will be dropping by when they can (we have several authors in places far flung from the US), so feel free to leave them a comment or question at any time. Our celebrity Guest of Honor, Evil Editor, might even make a comment or two himself.

Mingle in the comments to this post, please. Leave your contest entries under the appropriate posts. Entry rules can be found in their respective posts.

Early-Bird Special!

Prize contests are below.

In addition, Evil Editor is offering a FREE EE coffEE mug to each of the first two people who order Evil Editor Teaches School after reading this sentence. These are collectible mugs with art design by EE. And they must be Limited Editions because I couldn't find the mugs in his store any longer.

The print book is $10.95 + S&H. Watch the EETS trailer:

Enter To Win The Extinct Anthology

We're giving away THREE (3) copies in winners' choice of .mobi (Kindle), .epub (Nook and most other readers) or .pdf (PC or Mac) format.

Here's the teaser for the anthology:

Echoes of yesterday touch the lives of ordinary people in extraordinary ways in 19 provocative stories by some of the best up-and-coming authors of mainstream and speculative fiction around the world.

There's more about how the book came to be on my blog, as well as a dedicated page devoted to the book and authors.

One (1) copy will be awarded through a random draw from everyone who leaves a comment below. Saying nice things won't increase your chances (though we'd love to hear it if you've got it!), so just leaving "Me!" or "I'm in" along with an identifiable name is enough.

Two (2) copies will be awarded through a random draw to two lovely readers who make mention of the book in any form of social media (twitter, facebook, blog, etc) and leave a link to any of the following sites. Put in the comment where you left the mention.
You have until 8:00 am CT on Thursday to enter.

Winners will be announced here and on Phoenix's blog by noon on Thursday US Central Time.

Enter To Win The Evil Editor Cartoon DVD and Novel Deviations

After more than 850 cartoons, Evil Editor is having trouble thinking of new ideas. So he's turning that job over to you for today. The captions will be submitted by others; all you have to do is come up with an original idea for the drawing.

What do these captionless cartoons look like? Here's where Evil Editor's Minions go to submit captions to newly created cartoons. That and the completed cartoons that appear pretty much every weekday on his main site should give you a good idea of the type of cartoon EE needs.

UPDATE: EE has left an example of how simple this really is in the comments. Something shorter than a tweet will work just fine.

EE will choose three favorites (after eliminating those that are too similar to cartoons that have already appeared and those that he feels would be too much trouble to create) based only on the final drawing (without caption). Those three conceptualizers will each receive the Evil Editor Cartoon DVD (scroll down at the link).

In addition, the person whose idea results in the funniest cartoon (including caption, though again, you won't be writing the caption) will get a copy of Novel Deviations, Vol. 1 (scroll way down at the link). You need not have been one of the three original winners to win this extra prize, as EE may select more than three ideas to illustrate.

What's a deviant novel? Watch the trailer to find out:

Evil Editor will announce the winners on his blog sometime after 8 am CT Thursday.

Winners will be announced here shortly thereafter.
